JUST IN: PDP Denies Merger Talks with Other Parties Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party has denied rumours of merger talks with other political parties.According to the party, it has the strength and capability to win elections on its own. In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, after the 587th meeting of the PDP National Working Committee in Abuja, the party clarified that it is not engaged in any merger or amalgamation talks with other parties.

The statement added: 'The NWC acknowledges the influx of millions of Nigerians into our party in the ongoing party membership drive in all the electoral wards across the country; which further confirms that the PDP remains the party of choice for the majority of Nigerians.
