Jack Chambers named new Minister for Finance

Jack Chambers is the new Minister for Finance after Michael McGrath was nominated by the Government as Ireland's next European Commissioner.

Last week he was appointed Fianna Fáil deputy leader with Tánaiste Micheál Martin praising his skill in organising the party's recent local elections campaign.Mr Chambers was most recently the Minister of State at the Department of Transport where he had led the way on reducing speed limits on the country's roads.
