This, after she was asked by MK party MP, Mzwanele Manyi, when the NPA would issue the certificate. This certificate would enable the process of private prosecution to start. “It’s good and important we have it. But we need to ensure, like the NPA, that works within a particular legal framework, and has a constitutional obligation to ensure we prosecute without fear, favor or prejudice that private prosecutions are not utilised to further certain agendas.”Batohi, adds that she is aware that the public wants to see high profile people prosecuted and convicted for state capture cases.
