An electronic monitoring company whose performance regarding a Mobile murder defendant has come under scrutiny has been banned from handling cases before Mobile County District Judge Jennifer Wright, according to a transcript of a hearing last week.

“But the Court will not be telling them that with Accupoint anymore because at this point in time the Court has extreme concerns about that business,” Wright said during the Oct. 3 hearing. “They don’t have authority to tell anyone anything differently than what’s in my court order.”at Maison De Ville apartments on Christmas Eve.

“When we caught eye contact, he began to like walk backwards,” she testified. “And he never said anything to me. We was just like basically staring at each other.” Wright expressed dismay at that, as well as Vallon’s acknowledgment that she was unaware that the judge had issued a second order on June 24 laying out Stewart’s bond conditions.
