Designer Jeffrey Alan Marks, who has a star-studded client list, recently listed his 1920s Georgian country home in Connecticut for $9 million.

The home opens to a serene formal living room with Venetian plaster ceilings, a fireplace, paneled walls, and several windows. It also connects to a sunroom through Dutch doors, which has massive arched windows on every side that overlook the gardens.

Elsewhere is a breakfast room off the kitchen with dentil molding and a fireplace, as well as a family room with an adjoining bar area with a chic rattan island for serving snacks. There are also two offices, a wine room, a screened porch, and a bluestone patio with a fenced herb garden. The upstairs primary suite has a fireplace, a sitting room with soaring ceilings, a marble bathroom, a gym, and a dressing room also fitted by Plain English.
