He died on Tuesday last week at the age of 75.He spoke to the media outside the church when ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula visited him yesterday.
“Having the baton handed over was very clear, my dad was very clear on maintaining his legacy but taking it further and he was even challenging me, saying, ‘Hey, these issues, these issues you need to engage, you need to get involved, get behind. You young guys need to rise and stand and partner again with the current political leadership for the betterment of this nation.’ It’s a huge task and only God can raise us to do so, but for sure we’ve had the best teaching.
