South Africa’s Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, addressed the media in Parliament yesterday following a Cabinet meeting. “It is the view of South Africa that all parties that are not happy with the elections outcome who are disputing, like we had in our own case in South Africa, we had parties that lodged disputes not only to the IEC but went as far as the Electoral Court.

Meanwhile, First Deputy Secretary-General of the African National Congress , Nomvula Mokonyane, is calling for patience and calm amid protests in Mozambique. Mokonyane says there should be a call for respect for the rule of law to ensure that the official results announcement is made peacefully.
