Crime statistics in the W Cape show a reduction of 8.7 percent in murder cases.

The Anti-Gang Unit members deployed in the Bishop Lavis policing precinct recovered an explosive device which was found abandoned as well as an assault rifle at an informal settlement close to Valhalla Park.He says his government will continue to push for more policing resources.

“We need to have a deeper discussion around gang and drug crime, we also need to push alongside the national minister for the policing budget to be looked at, we need police to get their fair share of the budget just as we want education and health to get their fair share of the budget in our province.
