Lifelike animatronic dolphin pitched as replacement in Chinese aquariums

Sounds like progress but since when did China ever do anything to be nice to animals? I would be suspicious of intentions. The sort of ppl who visit aquariums/marine parks like to see animals trapped & performing at the will of a master. Will a fake be enough to satisfy this ?
