The Blue Jays have made a series of pandemic-related cuts to their business operations department. ShiDavidi has more details:

have made a series of pandemic-related cuts to their business operations department, a sign the club expects the fallout from COVID-19 to prevent a full return to normalcy in 2021.

"It is a heartbreaking day for the Blue Jays, one in which we considered every possible way to avoid since the pandemic began in March," club president and CEO Mark Shapiro said in a statement. "We made the difficult decision to part ways with colleagues across the organization, due to the ongoing and profound effects of COVID-19 on the sports industry.

The Blue Jays were forced to play the home portion of their 2020 schedule at Buffalo’s Sahlen Field due to governmental border restrictions, and as a second wave of COVID-19 hits Toronto, there is only more uncertainty about what 2021 looks like. Under the plan, tickets are being sold in groups of four contiguous seats called pods set a minimum of six feet apart from one another, with no seats within 20 feet of where a player can be up for sale, and masks mandatory except for when fans are eating or drinking.
