And since users often give their email addresses when creating an account or in exchange for deals, developers hoped to ask for permission during those standard processes.

I guess that is okay don’t want the developers to stalk the apple customers

The thing is though ads do have other ways of tracking you throughout the web. But then again any option to strengthen privacy is a good option anyway 🤔👍
