MIMS – SA’s leading medical reference publisher – is looking to fill the key position of MIMS Managing Editor, responsible for the content and production of its core publications, namely MIMS, MDR, eMIMS and mobiMIMS. Generally, the successful candidate will be expected to leverage pharmacological expertise to benefit the business.

The managing editor will manage and perform various editorial and production processes and should have a sound understanding and knowledge of the South African pharmaceutical and healthcare environment, accompanying medico-legal registration requirements, and possess good business skills. While experience in print publishing is an advantage, the production aspect of the position will be taught on the job.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and building the medicine database, liaising with the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare professionals, driving editorial initiatives to boost revenue streams, together with controlling the applicable printing aspects.
