Be a lot easier for men to get those good paying auto sector jobs now. Just have to smear some lipstick and a wig on, say you're a girl, and the job is pretty much yours.

What does that actually mean? During the pandemic, women with children were working, home schooling and being care givers. Doing 3 jobs at once for 2 years burnt women out and many left the workplace because there are no policies in pace for sabbaticals or leaves.

As it should be.

During the pandemic the industry laid off countless women.
