“I put the video (online) and within six hours, I had the same name sent to me like three times,” said Jordan Docherty, whose business, JC’s Tiki Bar, was broken earlier this month.

Jordan Docherty, owner of JC's Tiki Bar, said having video footage of the theft, and being able to post it online, showed immediate benefits and helped him identify a person involved within hours. - Cody McEachernFor Jordan Docherty, Aug. 11 was just another normal day at work.

“When I looked at the camera, I could see them carrying cases of beer and some kegs and I knew they got those out of my freezer,” he said. “Without , many of the files would go unsolved. It’s great physical evidence in proving our conviction because it’s difficult to dispute something when it’s on video,” she said.

In the video, a man wearing a hat covering his face could be seen crawling in through the business’s drive-thru window and stealing a number of items from the store.“It's not 100 per cent every time,” she said. “Sometimes, the angle of the camera is bad, or the person knows where the cameras are from counter surveillance, so they will make sure they don’t turn towards the camera or they will have their hat pulled down to their mask or face covering.
