Coun. Sonya Sharp echoed that thought, saying the new regulations are meant to address safety issues. Gondek said provincial ministers were contacted by the grieving parents of Mackenzie Woolfsmith on more than one occasion. She said the minister had zero interest in co-operating with their request for better regulations.
