Housing Minister Darragh O'Brien has said that the government is using every legal avenue to hold companies that produced defective building blocks accountable. PatKenny

Housing Minister O'Brien said that the government is chasing the builders responsible.

"This isn't a new event that the people who provided defective blocks - they have absolutely, I believe, a moral responsibility, but legally we will see what we can do", he said.Construction industry experts have warned that it will add between €2,000 and €3,000 to the cost of building a typical house.

While the companies may have folded the people behind them just set up another company, so the Government needs to go after the individual’s who were behind these companies.

Maybe he could look at why the blocks weren’t quality checked in the first place and ask for an ‘explanation ‘?

By making the rest of us pay for it with a 10% Levy...seriously, and I support this Govt!
