Working out of a small, make-shift studio he has set up in his home and with the help of many people, he is determined to recreate the business he holds so dear.The fire broke out on Oct. 17, in the 18,000-square-foot building on the Mason Road where McMillan’s business was located. The other major tenant was the P.E.I. Reach Foundation. Multiple fire departments responded, but the building was gutted.
Todd MacLean, a P.E.I. entertainer, and Matt Clendinning, the owner of The Lucky Bean cafes in Montague and Stratford, put the fundraiser together. McMillan then started attending every one of MacLean’s shows, billed as Todd MacLean and Friends, at The Lucky Bean.
