Adelaide man Blake Pulic is among the tens of thousands still waiting for their dream homes to be built. “It’s the mental health side of things of ‘when is this house even going to be built’, like am I kidding myself that I’m even going to be moving in in five months,” he said. “For building and construction, we’ve estimated the immediate shortfall is around 70,000 to 80,000 people, but the longer time estimate is around the 450,000 mark,” Wawn said.

“We’ve put in a submission that we not only need to increase the number of skilled migrants coming into this country, but also look at the eligibility criteria and creating more flexibility so we encourage more into the industry.”

This is great news. With Labor increasing immigration we will really ensure houses are only for the wealthy. It’s so good how Labor always looks after the top end of town and ensures investors and big business are the big winners.

No better time to raise the immigration rate to record levels.
