In May 2022, Dallas-based Texas Instruments broke ground on the first fabrication facility in what's expected to be a $30 billion, four-factory semiconductor manufacturing campus in Sherman. At full buildout, TI’s Sherman campus is expected to be the biggest electronics production facility in Texas and among the largest manufacturing facilities in the country. About 4,000 new jobs are set to be created with the TI expansion.
It’s all related. Normally, we update the zoning map every so often. We've started doing it every year now in accordance with our comprehensive master plan and state law. I like to post it when we do update it to give the developers a good idea of what's available in Sherman.
