Dispute centres on money allegedly owed by Paddy Byrne before his bankruptcy application in 2011

Mars Capital, a debt servicing company for vulture funds, has filed legal proceedings against Paddy Byrne, the owner of Victoria Homes.

Neither Mars Capital nor Byrne would comment on the case, which was filed recently in Naas Circuit Court. The Business Post understands that it relates to debts that precede Byrne’s bankruptcy, and that the two sides are in dispute over whether he owes them or not.
