Meta Platforms Inc. shares META gained 2% after launching Threads, its rival to Twitter, a day early..Exxon Mobil Corp.’s stock XOM fell 1% after the oil giant said that lower natural-gas prices are likely to be a drag on its second-quarter earnings.
