According to a recent report by global news agency Reuters, technology titan HUAWEI will return to the 5G smartphone market very soon.
That may change soon. Reuters said that research firms claim that HUAWEI will return to the 5G smartphone industry by the end of the year by procuring its own chips domestically. The company is expected to use SMIC's N+1 manufacturing process with a forecast yield rate of usable chips below 50 percent. The report added that its 5G shipments would be limited to around 2 million to 4 million units.
