The Aurora Farmers Market will open for the season on Saturday, officials said. The Aurora Farmers Market, the oldest farmers market in Illinois, will open this Saturday for its 113th season, city officials said.
A special ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in honor of the market opening for the season. Children’s entertainment from Miss Jaime from the Farm is set for 10 a.m. at the market. Market manager Felicia Freitag has said there will be a large group of merchants participating at the market this year.
