WASHINGTON — A company that makes ice cream products for several popular brands including Hershey's, Jeni's, Friendly's and ChipwichTotally Cool, Inc. of Owings Mills, Maryland has stopped production of the recalled products after FDA sampling discovered the presence of Listeria monocytogenes,While listeria infection may cause only short-term symptoms in healthy individuals, it can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant people.
The recalled ice cream was sold nationwide and includes more than 60 different products sold under a variety of brand names. It includes ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream cones and pints. available on the FDA's websiteIf you have any of the recalled ice cream products, return it to where you bought it for a full refund.
