The official opening of the Olympic Games will take place on Friday evening.

Security-related matters remain a top priority for organisers of this year’s Olympic Games in Paris, France.Dozens of boats will carry thousands of athletes and performers on a six-kilometre floating parade on the River Seine.

In light of the conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine and their own security concerns, France’s security is alert and at its highest level.
