South Alamode Panini & Gelato Company Notícia

The owner is considering opening a food truck next year. The dessert shop will serve Thanksgiving flavors like sweet potato and brown sugar this week.

South Alamode Panini & Gelato Company will close its doors Wednesday after nearly a decade of serving its popular lineup of handcrafted flavors — both unusual and classic — like goat cheese, cashew and caramel. Though this is the end of his brick-and-mortar shop, owner Josh Biffle doesn't plan to stay gone for long. Next year, fans may see the shop resurrected as a food truck, serving ricotta and blackberry gelato and other creamy indulgences closer to patrons' homes.

Hook Land & Sea to debut rebrand as Costa Pacifica Margarita Garden with 'new look, new flavors' Before shuttering his brick-and-mortar store, Biffle said he'll craft Thanksgiving flavors patrons can enjoy on Tuesday and Wednesday. Though Biffle is still finalizing all the flavors, one will include a sweet potato and brown sugar concoction. The business is open until 8 p.m. today and is closed Monday. South Alamode operating hours the rest of this week are from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

San Antonio's best chicken wing restaurant might not survive the year. It asks public for support. The gelato company first opened in May 2015 after Biffle decided to transition from selling his products at farmers markets. He pursued a career in creating creamy treats after living and studying in Italy, where he attended culinary school and worked at a gelato shop in Tuscany. 'We appreciate all the support for these years, but it's not the end of the road.
