This tampon company wants to tackle women's taboos from puberty to menopause:

The eco-friendly tampon business is a crowded market. With brands such as Lola, DAME and Rael, it's a tough industry to break into., a company offering an organic period care range, in January 2018. The tampon range has fully biodegradable bio plastic applicators made of sugar cane, which are made in a factory using mostly renewable energy.It's essentially a health platform focusing on the two taboo areas of women's health - menstruation and menopause.

"Freda is different as it addresses the needs of females from puberty to post menopause. I believe that period products have to available free wherever there are free toilet paper - who ultimately has decided what's essential? If everyone had periods, there would be pads and tampons available in every bathroom.e are taking the most used products, pads and tampons, and just improving them: ditching the chemicals, the perfumes, the dyes and the synthetic materials.

The femcare space is seeing many new entrants, mostly women-founded businesses and collectively we are changing the space. The legacy brands have been forced to disclose their product ingredients and the whole issue of period poverty and lack of easy access to period products are now very much part of their 'purpose'."
