Political certainty in Westminster does little to ease the threat to big employers – many of which are in Tory seats

Boris Johnson’s hefty majority may have changed the game in parliament, but manufacturers could be forgiven for withholding their judgment. Nothing has changed, to coin a phrase: a hard-Brexit threat still looms over any company that exports to the EU or beyond.

It is odd algebra that Boris should be equated with political certainty. I guess it sounded pithy when you read it back to yourself?

If Brexit is over, which I doubt. The problems for the UK are just beginning, the promises Boris Johnson made for his election manifesto..They ain’t going to happen.
