More than 120 undocumented foreigners arrested at Durban beach front

The majority of those taken into custody are said to be from Malawi.“I think there are thousands and thousands of beach goers here. The behaviour up to this point seems to be fine. The strategy of not allowing alcohol to come here has helped us a lot. For the first one and a half hour session, we have arrested 121 undocumented people in this beach 121 and counting. We just find then in big groups.

More than 2.1 million people have descended on beaches in the eThekwini metro to celebrate the start of the New Year. Many say it has become their tradition to go to the beach each year on New Year’s day. “It’s New Year’s day and I’m out to enjoy myself with my family. It’s a tradition that we come to the beach on this time and it’s important to us. It’s very important because it’s our tradition that’s how we grew up. The family must be united with everyone.”

Musa_KZN1 I bet you 70% of them are out today

Let's soldiers go back to the borders, n saps guys come back to combat crime at our country.

City_Ekurhuleni in germston (delville) every corner, house, street, even TOILET (ubona ngalama bhayi abawa fakayo baningi kakhulu) uthule mzwandileMasina

That's just a drop in a ocean... Y not 20 000 atleast

People need jobs , any news from the buffalo ?

Whats gonna happen to them...,!! Also want to go to another country..!!

My father used to say, if you see a rat🐀in your house🏠be more concerned about the 10 you didn't see👀🙏

Including Chaines, Indians ne.

The tip of the iceberg.

If you are lazy you will blame everyone. Foreigners work harder than South Africans and that's why they get employed. Xenophobia

You are telling us but we know nothing will happen to them 🙄,

Thia ia how the anc has been fooling black people since 1994. They look at the issues affecting us the most then before election time they use their captured media to spread false news countrywide for us to celebrate and praise them for a job well done.... Come 2021 you vote anc

A step in the right direction!👏👏👏

TEBOHO_oO Africa liberation never liberated Africa, divide and rule segregation is still with us, When Mzilikazi left when Zwangendaba left who gave them Passport? How amazing Africans hold fast to colonial systems yet they hate racism. Double standards freedom.

we can make it if we try , let’s clean it up

They could have gone to the beach another day😂

Is it across Races, hope so or its only... If you know you know

Qokani 😂🤣 such a small for a lot of people.

Deport them with immediate effect.....

120 not 120 000 they still gonna come back. This is a waist of our Tax money. Our borders are very week. SANDF is doing nothing. They taking bribes by the borders. This is not going to stop until the companies who employ these people are investigated. SA brothers are unemployed

Well done. Go fkn swim in Maputo you illegal rats.

Yvonne Chacka Chacka was deported from Uganda, why don't you do the same ? Rotten government SA

Who goes to the beach with travel documents, those are supposed to be checked at passport control gates. What a joke of a country!

That is strange! On the beach with your document?

That will never make U rich safe n comfort in life rejoicing wen an innocent, starving African resident is arrested while killers rapist murderer's and robbers are having braai .... Congratulations Bheki cele, congrats south African but God is watching tears of innocence 😭

Can they be deported asap?

Send them back home 🚍🛫, and keep doing that every day.

How did they arrive here in Sa in the 1stplace if our laws of our country is respected & enacted by law enforcement agencies which receive Salaries monthly but No actions 2protect its citizens bcs the money we use 2sent them back shud create employment Sandf shud work in borders

South Africa the land of the free.

It is absolutely shocking how bold these illegals have become.Even running around on our beaches. But this has been allowed to happen. They are openly just walking over our border. SA gov is the joke of Africa, these aliens are acting like hooligans, just doing what they like.

Good work 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Operation clean the beach

Bathong.. So people must go to the beach with documents now?

Set them free and make them legal!

A mere 120 out of a million, that's a joke. Get serious, there are drug dens & brothels being ran by these savages in literally every CBD of our country. We need the masses to stop these maniacs. Deport these savages now before the masses lose their cool. Don't be reactionary.

Arrest more we have too many of them in eastern cape former transkai.

That ethekwini mayor wont do anything his family has mozambiquen roots.

This isn't good enough when will authorities start cracking down on employers who hire undocumented foreigners that make it possible for them to survive in SA. This is childsplay

Great, keep up doing the good work. Our Yvonne Chaka Chaka is back, safe and sound. I wonder where they'll be detained in preparations for repatriation cause Lindela was recently auctioned off.

That's 0.00001%

Good job👏👏👏

Deport those criminals!!! First lock them in worst jail or make the refugee camp on the border and make United Nations & African Union to fund it!!

Good. They must be deported nxaa!

Deport

They have to checkout. We want to check in please

Build the wall please

Where will they be taken? Or you are going to twist it around and say its xenophobia?

That's only 0.01% of what we have in SA🤔

MzwakheTu Only 120 that's not good enough

The time is fast approaching, where there will be more illegal immigrants than citizens in South Africa, thanks to the weak MYANC government!

Only 120? What about another 5million?

Is this because yesterday ghana deported yvonne,or its a routine work that is being done in a normal way?.

Well done

The second step is deporting
