Ally of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro hires Washington lobbyist whose business has boomed under the Trump administration as part of a $12.5 million effort to ease sanctions and reset bilateral relations with U.S.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro gives his annual address to the nation before members of the Constituent Assembly on the grounds of the National Assembly in Caracas, Venezuela, Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020.

Both the law firm and Stryk’s Sonoran Policy Group registered as agents of Muñoz in separate filings with the Justice Department that were published Monday on the agency’s website. Emboldened by Guaidó’s difficulties, Maduro is looking to reassert himself a nd repair his tarnished image in Washington, where he’s been roundly rejected as a dictator.

Like Venezuela, many of the clients have bruised reputations in Washington or are under U.S. sanctions, such as the governments of Somalia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior, which signed a a $5.4 million contract in May 2017. In December, Stryk’s firm also filed paperwork with Congress saying it represents Greylock Capital Management, a Wall Street hedge fund, to assist it with the collection of millions in unpaid debt owed to American bondholders by Venezuela.

Bold move by trying to tie Trump to Socialist sympathizers. Let’s see how this plays.

Oh goody. Just what we need. More corruption in Trumps administration ImpeachedForever

Anyone want to bet Trump wants to change the laws on bribing foreign nations because he’s done it so many times in his life both as a citizen and his president?

wildmarshphoto How much money will he agree to slip into Trump’s pocket? That’s the only way to ease sanctions.

Rudy?

Donald Trump can't help to walk over our Constitution as he walks from one scandal to another. This criminal is making a mockery of our Presidency & can no longer be controlled. Donald Trump Venezuela scandal is now incoming. How much more corruption can we take?

That's the danger of US becoming a dictatorship. It will spread all around the globe. Dirty money will influence politics everywhere.

Here we go. More grifting.

Here come another big crook with lobbyists on payroll.

🤬🤬🤬

Мадуро последовательно Чаоса и этого достаточно.

That’s how it is done in the Deep State, which is why we’re trying to drain the swamp.

Anyone with common sense would know what a 'lobbyist' does; they LOBBY CONGRESS! it's the corrupt people in those halls that are the problem. AP once again showing its bias by saying 'business had boomed under Trump'. Of course it has, it's because he's focusing on the US!

They are not even a shame for taking money from the poor

What is Lobbyist/Lobbying .. a corrupt way of stealing money and subvent a rule of law

Pandering for a hopeful Bernie presidency. Not going to happen.
