Huawei will play a limited role in the UK's 5G network - but will be excluded from sensitive geographic locations such as nuclear sites and military bases

UK Culture Secretary Baroness Morgan said:"This is a UK-specific solution for UK-specific reasons and the decision deals with the challenges we face right now.

After the government's announcement, Huawei vice president Victor Zhang said the company was"reassured". US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in London on Wednesday and will meet Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab.

The British government are building/mapping a 5G point cloud of your environment with Chinese/Russian/Japanese technology & they don’t want it near any nuclear/ military bases🤔 So why would the British government want to spy on its citizens under the guise of faster broadband?

They banned all Huawei equipment on high risk infrastructure. They announced they will only allow Huawei on low/no risk equipment, with a max cap at 35%. On top of that all Huawei equipment must pass inspection by GCHQ. It's effectively a ban when you get into the details.
