San Francisco bans private cars on Market Street for walking, biking and transitStarting today, private cars are banned from a busy stretch of San Francisco's Market Street. That move is permanent and designed to ease traffic and give pedestrians, cyclists, buses and streetcars more room. It should also free up more room for the homeless as well Banning private cars from Market Street will make it much safer for the homeless to hangout, live and to relieve themselves. the further left you go, the more disgust and sneering contempt there is for private cars, largely b/c they allow private citizens to travel at a time and in a manner of THEIR choice, instead of being dependent on the State to come and pick you up.....when THEY choose.
