At a recent job at an industrial lubricant manufacturer in Jacksonville, Fla., Kyle McBride received a box of 500 business cards. By the end of his three years there, he still had 497 cards left. “I gave out an average of one per year,” he says.
“One was to a relative, who was curious.”I know they’re part of branding/marketing, but I can’t stand how business cards pile up on my desk! We should find professional contacts on LinkedIn and go from there — at least as often as possible.
Business cards are more effective than being listed in the printed Yellow Pages.
Because they still work...

Anyone over 40
Bc it makes me FEEL important. lol. also, my company gave me a box.
Drop them at restaurants for weekly drawings for a free meal. I won one! Maybe the price will come down, finally.
But what about Paul Allen’s cards?!?
Many clients and connections still like them!
Anyone asking this question needs to watch American Psycho - the business card is one of the last remaining vestiges of myth and ceremony
They are priceless. As toothpicks.
I hand mine out constantly, almost daily. These anecdotes aren't indicative of anything.
Because old people are still in business.

Thanks to the movie American Pyscho
