The CBRS band is prime mid-band spectrum that has largely been reserved for government use, but is of great interest to private operators. Because companies don't need to license their own spectrum, and because they have access to a wide market of CBRS equipment, they can cut the cost of establishing a private network, boosting its appeal — in a May 2019 spectrum auction, operators It will enable network operators to provide additional network capacity.
