Big business will be urged to play its part in Australia's attempts to stave off a recession when Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Tuesday reveals the key principles driving his government's impending multi-billion dollar stimulus package to cushion the domestic economy in the wake of the coronavirus.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has asked businesses to step up and help shield the economy from the effects of the coronavirus.The federal government is expected within days to settle on a package of up to $10 billion in the first of what is likely be a series of cash-splashes to "ride out" an economic downturn which it fears could extend beyond the current March quarter.
