) shareholders who cast votes at the company’s annual meeting on Wednesday opposed the company’s executive pay plan, Disney said.

Disney announced Iger stepped down on Feb. 25 but remains at the company as executive chairman. He will focus on content creation until he retires at the end of 2021. Glass Lewis advised shareholders to oppose the 2019 executive pay plan in a non-binding vote, as did other proxy advisers Institutional Shareholder Services and Egan-Jones.

The Florida State Board of Administration, which manages pension assets for Florida state and local employees and had 2.3 million shares of Disney as of the end of 2019, voted against the compensation plan this year. “It seems to be maximized for payout without sufficient ties to the performance levels,” said Jacob Williams, corporate governance manager with the organization.

abigaildisney All this really doesn’t matter to the workers trying to get by. On another note, virus scare at the parks so there cutting face characters and using more fur. The fur still need to touch it to get in and out.

I also wish other companies shareholder’s across the county would realize this. Instead of laying off the little guy who makes thousands.... eliminate one executive bonus save jobs not JOB... JOBS!!!

I LOVE it when shareholders take their responsibilities seriously!
