Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula said on Wednesday that the country had imposed a “total ban” on cruise ships from March 18 because of risks associated with the coronavirus outbreak.

The number of new cases since Tuesday night’s announcement shot up by 31. Twenty five of them have travel history through Europe while the six others have no travel history.
