SINGAPORE - Singapore has managed to ramp up its import of eggs from other countries following Malaysia's lockdown on Wednesday , Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing said on Thursday .

"This applies not just to eggs but other food products and essential items... These efforts to secure and diversify our food supply have been developed and strengthened through the years," he said. The Singapore Food Agency said on Wednesday that Singapore's food supply has not been disrupted by Malaysia's two-week lockdown.
