Sky News host Paul Murray says although talking about China during this crisis is “a rabbit hole that we don’t need to go down” there are a few new developments that need attention.

Reports have emerged about a Chinese-owned property company shipping more than 80 tonnes of medical equipment including "millions of facemasks" from Australia to China. Mr Murray said if this was to happen now it “would be a criminal offence” because these products are “meant to help us here”.

It seems for these Australian businesses “their first loyalty isn’t to their fellow citizens here but it’s to the mother country”. Mr Murray said it is important to be wary of ‘predatory’ corporate acquisitions given Australian companies “are worth less than they were going into” coronavirus which makes them “absolute rife targets for takeover”. The absolute bad news of the coronavirus is " keeping an eye on the games of China," he said.
