NASCAR driver Kyle Larson fired from race team after using N-word during Twitch stream

Chip Ganassi Racing had previously suspended Larson without pay.

Larson, who participated in NASCAR's Drive for Diversity program and competed in the top-level NASCAR Cup Series for Ganassi, was competing in a virtual event called "Monza Madness" on Sunday night when the slur was used. The race was hosted on a virtual simulator called iRacing and featured big-name drivers from various disciplines on a voluntary basis, and it was broadcast on multiple Twitch streams along with eNASCAR.com.

Just wondering, what would have happened, if an African American driver had used the exact same words in exactly same circumstances and exactly same context?

NASCAR driver Kyle Larson apologizes for using N-word on Twitch stream - Business Insider'I understand the damage is probably unrepairable, and I own up to that,' Larson said. 'But I just want to let you all know how sorry I am.' Completely coincidentally and ironically, the SouthPark episode where Cartman says he can't be a driver because only poor and stupid racist people watch NASCAR just started on Comedy Central. Enough will another athlete, politician or celebrity with a hollow apology. Apology not accepted. So if he wasn’t raised to be a racist, when does he think he became one?
