Saving lives was the most important thing during the coronavirus pandemic.

This was the consensus reached at a meeting between government, labour and business, who agreed that priority should be given to measures to contain the spread of the virus and the Covid-19 respiratory illness it causes.

Friday's virtual meeting was attended by Nedlac representatives from government, business, labour and the community constituency. “The meeting agreed that the health and wellbeing of all South Africans must be the overriding concern of all sections of society, and that it was therefore necessary to intensify the public health response to the pandemic,” said the presidency.

The social partners of Nedlac were also unanimous that they needed to lend their full support to proposed economic recovery measures and social support to support society’s most vulnerable.

Yes we rather vrek from hunger

But the number of deaths on hunger is greater Than the corona virus

Are you guys aware that sessional doctors are haven't been paid and they might not be paid again this month yet they are on the frontline..can someone help our doctors who are being called our heros.

I feel there was an impulsiveness in the implementation of total lockdown in S A context.Hunger and stress will cause more weakened immune systems to the masses who are always vulnerable.Gradual implementation with much focus on hot spots was an option.

That’s why you should not be focusing on SARS-COV-2 alone. The virus of poverty, violence and human dignity have far more reaching morbidity and mortality. It can’t be ignored while fighting this pandemic. I’m highly suspicious and disappointed by the lack of true leadership.

Yo don't save lives by destroying lives. Simple.

Why do I read a silent extension coming.... I noticing all these signals.

I did not agree nor my employees agress with this

By killing them with starvation and poverty they will get hungry and this will end bad its not either or we need balance

This was also highly unnecessary

What labour, were small business owners consulted? Were unpaid employees consulted? Seriously, please tell us who is on your payroll/ council that represents labour? The fucking union bosses who get paid wether they work or not?

Then they can pay the wages and watch people starve
