Facebook’s largest foreign investment gives it a foothold in rural India and a powerful local ally

Facebook Inc.’s $5.7 billion tie-up with an Indian mobile leader could create a new kind of animal in the world’s biggest untapped digital market: a social media behemoth wedded to a mobile infrastructure titan—both coveting e-commerce.

Now the two companies are expected to square off against some formidable online shopping rivals: Amazon.com Inc. and Walmart Inc., which have each invested billions in the South Asian market.

Welcome to constant spying by Facebook . I would immediately change the operator

This investment might be a success unlike investments by Amazon, Walmart, Vodafone etc. Facebook has aligned its interests with PM Modi's crony Ambani. That is the recipe for success in India. Other foreign investors would do well to align with Modi's other cronies like Adani

asia's richest man

Facebook money coming soon!!!! This will be the currency for all of India

With poor corporate governance in India, you never know. So don’t hurry for conclusions...

Mukesh Ambani and Mark Zuckerberg are ideologically Aligned. Ambani is an ardent supporter of Hindu Extremist Narendra Modi and a big Financier of Hindu Upper Caste Terrorist organization RSS. Zuckerberg is a big supporter of White Nationalist Trump.

Reliance Jio is powered by RSS that’s why they are not the good one . Bjp full support. Even modi is on the cover of reliance Jio

Good move 👍
