TAUNGYI (Myanmar): The Shan State’s Chief Minister, four Regional Ministers and Parliament Speaker have been placed under facility quarantine at a guest house since April 20th, said spokesperson Soe Nyunt Lwin, the Planning and Finance Minister for Shan State.

The Shan State Chief Minister, accompanied by his entourage: Municipal Affairs Minister, Roads and Transport Minister, Social Welfare Minister, the Burma ethnic affairs Minister and Shan State Parliament Speaker had visited Tachileik, Kungtung and Mungyaung Townships in eastern Shan State.

Since then the four ministers, the Parliament Speaker and the Shan State Chief Minister were placed under quarantine at the government's guest house. "A total of 30 officials including four regional ministers, parliament speaker and the Shan State Chief Minister were tested with the test kits.
