Bus operators across the UK face an uphill struggle to restore services for workers returning after lockdown.higher death rates linked to Covid-19 among male driversThe need for social distancing will mean fewer passengers in each bus and the government is encouraging people to avoid public transport if they can.
"Frankly, it's dangerous and will put the lives of bus drivers, and all public transport workers, at risk," he said. In that scenario,"farebox revenue would not be enough to cover our costs", the CPT said, and it would"need some form of investment from central government to make that work". I find your comments about about bus drivers about being lower skilled jobs so disrespectful to drivers they have lost there lives which some where my friends and not just bus drivers I think people that keep this country running you should be ashamed
If the job is a few blocks away, why not go hiking, or buy a bike and go cycling?
Can you tell me if your news presenters regard bus drivers as low skilled or not, can you provide a list as to who falls into these categories and can your presenters maybe refer to occupations as low paid.
