The plant-based meat industry will need the millions of workers now employed in animal agriculture, the founder of Impossible Foods said, but the slaughter room has to go

“It had to not require people at any scale buying into my concerns about climate change or biodiversity or the things motivating me,” he said, “and it had to be something where the motivation of consumers is exactly what motivates them in their food choices: deliciousness, nutritional value, affordability, convenience and so forth.”

Brown promised cleaner, safer, higher-paying jobs to most of the workers in the supply chain, but he acknowledged a worry for farmers.

So the idea is that we will ALL be tied to 'manufactured' food, and REAL food will be removed Just how MAD is the world?

Uh oh

As long as plant based meat analogues have better work environments or pay, workers with a choice will choose to work there. As long as the plant based food processors are less affected by SARS2 (by ensuring no one with it goes to work), they will be able to stay open.

Yup

'Impossible foods' sounds about right.

I love meat

Many issues to unpack here. I’m fine with a plant based diet but can I still have seafood, eggs and cheese? 🦐 🥚 🧀

Not gonna happen.

Riiiiight. The day that happens it’ll be time to move back to farm country so we can have our own cows and chickens to be able to live healthy. Plant only diet isn’t healthy by any stretch.

Normal people don’t eat that shit FYI

Never in my lifetime.

Over processed, non nutritional frankenfood? No thank you.
