'Multiple skyscraper' plan for Sydney Fish Market site | MeganGorrey

The fish market could be demolished to make way for a waterfront residential and employment precinct. The government is consulting the public on three "precinct plan scenarios" that will shape the revamp of Blackwattle Bay. The area was first designated as a future apartment, employment and dining hub in 2013.

The state government is consulting on three potential schemes to guide a final precinct plan for Blackwattle Bay."The proposals look like they are privatising the harbour foreshore and selling it off to the developers, so that's a concern." The employment district would accommodate 7000 jobs, in "urban warehouse"-style buildings up to 10 storeys and 1045 homes in towers up to 45 storeys.
