The reduction in price has to do with supply and demand. Neighborhoods with run-down housing, drugs and violence will not have the same demand as neighborhoods who do not. Whether it’s black or white people living in a crime-ridden neighborhood, the prospective buyer doesn’t care

We all know what happened last time the government attempted affordable housing.
Black homes aren’t worth $33,000 less than white homes. The difference is the entire community. A black family can invest in a great multiculdturaled neighborhood, and be just fine with an appreciating asset. It’s really all about location, and the character of the people in it.

Do I have to show identification for this discount to be applied at purchase time or are homes designated by race in advance?
If there is racism in the housing market the actual market would have taken care of it. Which race is scooping up black owned properties?
