Robert Larkin’s wife, CEO of San Francisco-based LaFace Skincare Lisa Alexander, said over the weekend she was “deeply sorry” for her “racist” actions.
Ms Alexander, who has been dubbed by many on social media as a “Karen” – a term for white women perceived as being entitled – told the Filipino man, James Juanillo, that he was illegally writing in chalk on a retaining wall because it was private property, not realising the property was Mr Juanillo’s own.
Fallout over the incident continued today, when Mr Larkin’s former employer Raymond James announced on Twitter he had been let go from the firm.
