, makes meat, dairy and fish products from its patented plant-based ingredients that have been backed by celebrities like Katy Perry and Serena Williams, but Impossible Foods CFO David Lee told CNBC it's trying to position itself away from the plant-based movement so often associated with a niche food industry.
Lee said 9 out of 10 Impossible buyers are traditional meat eaters, bolstered by recent events like the meat shortages from the Covid-19 pandemic and a recent expansion into 1,000 grocery stores. It also boasted a fresh round of $500 million, making its valuation at approximately $1.3 billion. While the restaurant business has been hurt, it hasn't been as bad as the restaurant industry overall, Impossible Foods said. It also began a direct-to-consumer channel, for direct shipment amid the pandemic.
If you want to eat meat, get a steak or pork chop. If you want vegetarian, get a salad or fried noodles with tofu. Why eat these processed food that’s expensive and need a lab to tell you that it’s nutritious? It’s impossible for ne to understand. It’s beyond me.
Impossible is soy based. No thanks. Prefer beyond meat when in the mood for a meat alternative
Thanks for the support Starbucks. I want to eat a plant based breakfast!

Fabulous. As a SBUX investor, happy about this move.
GMO, no thanks.
Good for them.
Despite all the rave, these plant based products taste like shit. My opinion.
EAt something else. This is still processed all to sh*t and destructive to the environment because of the massive amounts of soybeans they have to use. The soybeans are also bT GMOs on top of it. I'll pass and just eat the farking plants.
“Plant based meat”, think about that for a second.
