It would apply to trips taken between December 31, 2019, and January 1, 2022, meaning people could write off a vacation taken earlier this year. The tax credit would apply only to journeys that are 50 miles beyond a taxpayer's "principal residence.

My LIFE is worth more than $4000 to me..

Me thinks this money could have been used in universal healthcare/insurance?

Aww us

Actually better than giving large companies cash directly. Because by giving it to the people, it gets spent at several levels before it reaches the large companies. So you get 1000 dollars. You buy airline tickets, hotel food, entertainment. Then those outfits spend it too.

Buying votes with taxpayer dollars is usually a Democrat tactic. I'm disappointed in SenMcSallyAZ. The only people who will benefit are well-paid workers who have the time to travel & the tourist industries. Hard-working Americans shouldn't have to pay for others' vacations.

Travelling during a pandemic 😳 Not available to people in lower incomes 😒 . Ridiculous. So they want to give money to people, only if they travel, but won’t give people money to pay their rent or buy food for their families. How messed up is that?

I rather 4000 cash

As long as it's not 'Alaska' we do not want Americans in Canada for now. Sorry American friends.
